Admission Criteria

• Minimum TOEFL score: 577/233/90 (paper/computer/internet)
• Minimum GRE score: V+Q > 1200, A: 3.5-4.0
• Minimum GPA: 3.3 out of 4.0
• Sufficient mathematics, computer science, informatics, biology and/or medicine training

Required Application Materials to the Graduate School:

1. Curriculum Vitae
2. Representative publications in bioinformatics and/or health informatics related areas
3. Statement of Purpose, which should include a summary of why you are interested in pursuing an advanced informatics degree, a brief description of your previous research experiences, the specific area of informatics you are interested in pursuing, and your future career goals and plans in the informatics field.
4. GRE scores
5. 3 letters of recommendation; At least one should be from biomedical informatics, life science, or medical researcher who can evaluate the applicant’s credentials and potential to become successful in the area of biomedical informatics.
6. Official Transcripts from each college and university you have attended;
   Offical Transcripts must be sent from each institution directly to the MU Graduate School.
